Soap drains back into bottle & partially plastic
We purchased 3 of these dispensers to fill the 3 holes in our kitchen sink -- for hand-soap, dish-soap, and lotion.
Pros:
* The size is smaller than some dispensers (the reservoir bottle is the standard size).
* The price was more reasonable.
* The finish matches our stainless-steel faucet and appliances.
* The reservoir bottle is filled from the top, so you don't need to reach under the sink to fill the reservoir bottle.
* Soap doesn't drip into the sink after use, which is an issue with some other dispensers.
Cons:
* My main complaint is that the soap drains completely back down into the bottle after a few hours, after which 3 presses are required to dispense the soap. So really you never know if it's going to come out after 1, 2, or 3 presses, since it depends on how long ago it was last used. (The lotion doesn't drain back into the bottle since it's a bit thicker than the dish soap & hand soap.)
* Note that the body is made of plastic with a stainless finish, and the ring at the bottom is very thin metal -- so don't over-tighten.
* There is no tube for pumping directly from a larger bottle under the sink.
* Also, since the top of the dispenser is smaller diameter than the base, note that any water or other liquid on your hands when you press the dispenser may run down the sides and into the reservoir bottle.
* Like many soap dispensers, the brass tube has no coating on the inside, so the inside of the brass tube slowly corrodes into Copper Oxide and turns the dispensed soap a bit blue.
