I wanted to love these. They were so pretty when they arrived. However like most people mentioned, they had a very bad chemical smell which probably wasn’t a good sign in the first place. However I gave it a chance. I read to wash them and it would get rid of the smell. Keep in mind, I HAND WASHED mine. I know not to wash wooden utensils in the dishwasher. After the first hand wash , 1) it didn’t get rid of the smell and 2) the wood looked like i owned these for 20 years. It was like the coating came off or something. This is what it’s looking like now after a few washes (hand wash only). Idk if that’s mold or if that is paint from the silicon bleeding into the wood (that would explain the smell) Either way I’m so disappointed. They look so ugly and old after only using them for a week. I’ll probably just throw them away.
