I bought one of these for myself and two as gifts. I am soooo embarrassed that I purchased this jewelry for anyone as a gift. I left mine in the jewel bag it came in for a few months,until yesterday, and when I took it out I was shocked to find that the gold plating has turned to a brassy color, very uneven, or has come off completely and is silver. Also, the very top amethyst piece is missing. I can't believe I bought this for others as gifts. I hope theirs didn't do what mine did. I am actually shocked as this has just sat in a jewelry box and is in such bad shape. It looked so beautiful when I got it, and I am so disappointed. The amethyst piece that is missing probably was missing when I received it and I just didn't notice, as it has just sat in the little jewelry bag all along, but I do know that it was gold-colored when I got it. This is really terrible!
