do not buy this if you have any respect for the art of cooking
this is the worst cookbook I have ever laid my eyes on. I bought it, looking for the Tasha Tudor blueberry muffin recipe. the Tasha Tudor cookbook is the correct one, full of good recipes and cute illustrations. this book, the Tasha Tudor family cookbook is not that. it's so terrible my entire family and I stood around and laughed at it. there is a recipe on how to bake a potato. the only ingredients listed are a potato and olive oil. not even butter or salt. there is a recipe on how to boil broccoli. there is a recipe that's just boiled carrots and plain white rice on unseasoned chicken. there is a recipe that's just sliced oranges and bananas in a bowl. there are a few recipes carried over from the correct Tasha Tudor recipe book, but the author simplified every recipe and added far more sugar. the photography is terrible, it looks like the author did it himself, it all looks unappetizing. many photos are completely overexposed, and none of them make me want to eat anything listed here. I love baking, I love cooking, but I couldn't find a single thing in this book that I would even remotely consider making.
