I have had this charger just over 6 months and it never charged as fast as the cords provided by my phone (Google Pixel) but I kept it next to my bed and only used it at night so it didn't need to charge fast and I liked having the extra cord length. I woke up in the middle of the night (thank goodness) and saw a notification that the phone/charger was running hot and to unplug, so I did. When I woke up again and saw that I was only at 20% battery after hours of charging I went to try a different cord and noticed it was hard to plug in. The whole in my phone where you plug in the cord smells like an old cigarette and the cord is melted. I am going to have to replace my entire phone now. DO NOT BUY.
