" This sounded reasonable to me and so I thought I probably had very good chances of not getting a unit with the screen ...
I read a lot of the reviews before making my purchase. I saw a lot of complaints about the screen tinting on the top half. Then I read someone who made the comment that this issue was "blown out of proportion because, naturally, those people who experience the issue are more vocal about those who do not." This sounded reasonable to me and so I thought I probably had very good chances of not getting a unit with the screen issue.... Unfortunately, after having the Voyage for a few days, my screen tinted brownish-orange at the top.
Aside from this one issue, the Voyage deserves 5 stars. I also own the Kindle Paperwhite (v2) and there is a noticeable difference in the crispness of the text. I also love the new pager turn buttons and use them exclusively now for flipping pages.
So is this one issue with the Voyage screen really worth rating the product 1 star instead of 5 stars? Yes, because the Voyage advertises itself as forgetting that you're using any kind of device at all... Well when the top half of your screen tints brownish, it will yank you back to reality pretty quick: you're using a device with a manufacturing defect.
