Buy This for Kids with Parents You Dislike!
Nightmare of a product to put together. First, you must tear away EVERY SINGLE PART from its rigid, plastic encased frame. This involves broken nails, chipped teeth, various tools, and all your big girl words. Only then, once you’ve wrested the parts out of their plastic prisons can you commence with the building of the robot. This, too, involves an unholy amount of cursing. Do NOT attempt this around children. This is NOT a child activity. You will watch the video with the eerily cheery child easily building her robot and chatting away and curse the company, the video, the parts, science, pretty much everything, as you attempt to fumble these tiny parts into some semblance of the totally awesome, solar powered, creatures the instructions assure you are a child’s capability away of building. No. They are not. Do not believe eerily cheery child. Do not believe the instructions. You have purchased the Twilight Zone and there is no coming back.
Should you get this thing built, there is no fun. There is no joy. It jerkily moves about one centimeter and then stops. You know what that means. I know you do. Depending on your child’s age it’s either tears or accusations that you “did it wrong!”
Do not buy this for yourself. You know the cousin who asked if you were gaining weight last Thanksgiving? Buy this for her kid. That old lady in HRO who you KNOW passive aggressively messed up the position description you submitted and ended up hiring you the assistant from Hades? Yeah. Buy it for her kid. Do not, I repeat, do not buy this for your kid. You have been warned.
