One crumpled on me! Update, horrible customer service. Finally made right.
I think these are the best value saw horses for the money. They are definitely not the best or the most feature rich, but they are also not priced to be so. These are fairly light weight and are easy to maneuver. The legs move well, and I like the detent to keep the them folded up. I also like the material peg on these for large sheet goods. I don't know about the weight rating, but I don't intend on ever getting close to it. My intended use beyond normal saw horse duties is for flattening slabs using my router sled. Since these saw horses have a mount for 2 x material (intended for 2x4's), I can place 2x6 or even a 2x8 to create a nice parallel track for my router sled with the slab itself on the saw horses. The saw horses are wide enough for any slab that I have, but if I ever needed wider, I would just get another set of saw horses and put two side by side for the width. I won't be using them like this for a while, but when I do, I'll update this review if I can remember! edit - now that I've used them some, I can add some additional insights. They are definitely easy to deploy and put back up. I have these mounted on a wall for storage. They are exceptionally light and easy to maneuver, which is nice. My one big complaint, is that due to the method of construction, it is somewhat difficult to clamp material easily to the saw horse itself. the sides that come down are thin sheet metal, and you can't really clamp to the top itself. I have been able to figure it out for my uses, but I hadn't thought about it before buying them. Overall, I still think they are more useful than a pain, and they are still a great value, and I can work around any clamping issues that come up. ------------- Update 10/17/20 - I now have a set of four of these that I've used for various tasks. The other day I was trying to put a slab on top of a pair, and pretty much the moment the slab touched the first saw horse, it crumpled on me. The 1100 pound weight rating doesn't seem to be that useful in this case. The slab was only about 170 pounds, but I've come to realize that these saw horses only handle static loads straight down, the moment you try to move something or lean any amount of weight on them, they can't handle it. I've contacted the company to see what they can do for me, but I will definitely be more careful with how and what I put on these moving forward! I'll update later on how the company responds. update 11/5/20 - Working with their customer service has been horrible. Initial contact was fine, I sent them the picture, and the representative, Joe Baghdasarian, said that the process for a replacement was to order another one through amazon, send them the invoice, and they would then send me a gift card. I purchased another saw horse, and after one email response saying it would take 3-5 days, I have not received the gift card or an email response and it has been over 2 weeks now. I also just called, and it went straight to their voicemail, so I'm not confident that this will ever be resolved. I am not impressed with the company. Update 11/9/20 - they finally sent the digital gift card for the cost of the replacement, still took over 2 weeks, which I find unacceptable. They really need a better system, or at least one that is more efficient and where the customer is actually taken care of, rather than requiring the customer to call and follow up after silence on their end.
