I actually somewhat like the first two prequels, and liked Revenge of the Sith a good amount, but this movie is not even on a similar level of flawed. This movie is not something you want to see if you're a fan of what you know of Star Wars. It is bad in every way I can think of. The disgusting writing is the number one reason for this failure, but the directing is almost equally bad. Among the other reasons that this movie is a cringy shame is the bad acting(due to bad writing), disgraceful camera work for a franchise this critical, and odd CGI for the same reason as the former. If you like the characters of any of the originals or even Force Awakens then don't watch this please. I thought the was a chance I'd like this movie because of my strong interest in the Star Wars universe, but I'm just going to pretend I didn't watch this movie.
