Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

I read a lot so maybe I'm expecting too much in a book but, my god, there is not a single original idea in this story at all. The entire time I read it (it was for a book club and I'd be damned if I didn't finish it) was just a painfully contrived regurgitation of other, more creative, author's works. It's Narnia meets Hogwarts only with less interesting characters and more sloppy world building. No way I'll be able to get through another one of these novels. If you don't read much and you're into the angst and self-indulgence of the most obnoxious of teenage pity, this might just be the book for you!
