First of all. Great scooter!! It's quick, got great battery life, and comfortable to ride. The whole scooter just gives you a sense of quality. Why the two stars you ask? I look at a purchase as a whole. What do I get for what I pay for and to me the product isn't the only thing that matters. Their customer support is awful. So awful the number you call for support just tells you to go to a website and submit a web form and guess what...they won't reply. Now let me say this...I bought two of these scooters and another brand of scooter that was a third of the cost. One of these Segways and the other cheaper scooter both were involved in an accident together. Both suffered the same damage. Broken accelerator throttles. The scooter company that was a third of the price as the Segway responded within an hour. And despite my own admittance that the accident was the fault of the two riders I had driving each scooter they replaced the entire console of the scooter for free!!! That's right, the entire console which is the handle bars and everything attached to it. Right now I can't even Buy a replacement for the broken Segway cause I can't even get a response from Segway as to exactly what I will need to replace and if I buy replacement parts does it come with adequate instructions to do so properly. So have a broken albiet fairly expensive scooter without being able to repair it in time for a trip we as a family were going to take and bring said scooters with us. If the other brand scooter for a third of the price had a better battery life or just the ability to add an external battery like the Segway I would just throw the Segway away and purchase the other one. Because I cannot stand a company that doesn't fully support their product and actually help a customer after the purchase. That's garbage to me. The fact you can't even talk to someone on the phone is absolutely mind blowing for an item in this price range.
