I previously thought this had been a solid unit, I dropped my first one and the glass cracked allowing water in, corroding the solder joints. Today, only a few days after reordering another, the light started to cycle through the brightness settings repeatedly, and eventually stopped working. I found water trapped in in the housing, and when I went to take out the battery, the battery compartment was flooded as well. I checked to make sure the o-rings were intact and debris-free when inserting the battery, and that the cap was tight. I also ensured the same on the charging end (which I don’t use). I work in hydro-demolition, which involves getting water on me (equivalent to a mild rain storm). The unit was NEVER submerged. I’m disappointed and find the water resistant claims to be dishonest. It’s a great light, but my entire purpose for buying it (twice) was that it’s supposedly water resistant. $70 wasted, nothing but a paperweight now.
