After reading reviews and deliberating, I ordered the BISSELL ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet. I have respect for the Bissell brand and I looked forward to using this carpet cleaner. Ten minutes in, that all changed. Following the directions point-by-point I assembled the unit and all went well. I then added the water and cleaning solution to the tank and began cleaning. I immediately noticed a trail of small puddles following the machine wherever I went, which I determined to be cleaning solution. The solution dispensed near the brushes as is expected, but there was also an incessant trail of dribbles which meant I had to double-back and triple-back over areas to retrieve the extra solution. My previous carpet/floor cleaning machine of more than fifteen years never frustrated me like this. Amazon stood by their return policy and I have returned the Bissell unit. A further note on a more technical point: The BISSELL ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet has two rotating brushes to ‘scrub’ the carpet fibers. That may sound impressive except that both brushes turn the same direction. That means the brushes only ‘scrub’ one side of the carpet fibers unless you completely turn the machine around to brush them in the opposite direction. The competitor’s machine (my previous machine) has multiple counter-rotating brushes (spinning in opposite directions) that ‘scrub’ the carpet fibers on all sides without the need for turning around (much preferred by this reviewer). That’s the brand I intend to purchase again.
