Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

I purchased the Apple 2m USB-C from Amazon. I also purchased one directly from Apple. I have included pictures of the packaging which has some differences. I did not include pictures of the charger cords because they look exactly identical. The charger cord from Amazon had a horrible moldy/chemical smell. The charger cord from Apple also had very similar smell but not nearly as pungent. They both had the white sticky/chalky feel leaving residue on fingers. The cord ordered direct from Apple also came wrapped in plastic and placed inside box. Overall, Yes the cord from Amazon was significantly cheaper and states Apple product by Apple. They both appear to be Genuine except for some small differences in packaging and the drastic difference in smell. I chose to spend the extra cash and order direct from Apple. I have returned the sketchy cord. At least I can definitely be certain I have a Genuine Apple Product.
