Do you hear that? It’s the sound of my heart cracking in two because JLA successfully managed to turn me completely off to the series that launched my fantasy obsession. How did I go from cherishing this series over so many others to feeling disconnected to the characters and completely over and bored with the plot? This was a train wreck of epic proportions. This feeling has never happened to me with a series except maybe Divergent?? The characters didn’t even feel like the same characters from the first books. The story dragged. I was bored. And don’t get me started on how you absolutely destroyed poppycas and it wasn’t even just the J-word scene, but in every detail leading up to it AND afterwards. This was the most upsetting. There were SO many other ways you could’ve gone about it and I would’ve been okay with it, but you chose the worst option. I have so many thoughts and feelings, but mostly I’m sad. JLA, I can’t trust you. Ever again. Catch me pretending this was a trilogy because I’d honestly be more satisfied living w/ the cliffhanger at the end of ACOGB than this shizznet. No one talk to me because I’m going through the grieving process. RIP, FBAA.
