No Stereo
First... the (only) good news: The lens are of reasonable quality for the application.
Bad news #1: The eye spacing is not adjustable to any practical degree.
Bad news #2: First... a tutorial for the designers: The ONLY reason to have a pair of lenses on a frame is to allow stereo vision. In order to have stereo vision the field of view from each lens must overlap at the focus distance. As magnification increases, the focus distance becomes shorter and the field of view narrower. Thus, for such small separate lenses, a prism must be included to spread the narrow central field out to the user's more widely separated eyes. This is just basic optics. Think about taking a typical pair of binoculars and looking into the side with the big lenses. End Tutorial.
So what did the designers do? No prisms. Just simple little lenses. Well... you might as well purchase two separate eye loupes because you get a completely different view from each lens. No stereo effect is possible. This is true even at the lowest magnification (10X).
If you want a distinctly separate 2D view presented simultaneously to each eye, then by all means consider this product. If, however, you really want a common view to each eye, a view that sums to a 3D view, look elsewhere while laughing at the mistake that I made when I purchased this product.
