I love these Henschel hats. The quality is good and the materials are durable...so why only 2 stars...it is extremely disheartening to see a company ship their product in such a poor way that the outcome is obvious. If you put a NICE HAT in a BAG with absolutely NO SUPPORT...guess what happens to the hat. Did you guess SMASHED or CRUMBLED BEYOND RECOGNITION... CONGRATULATIONS...YOU WIN. They know this is going to happen. Only an idiot would not see it coming. Why...because if they can get away with it, if returns do not increase beyond a certain percent, they will save money in packaging materials and labor. If they can just squeeze another 10 or 15 cents out of each hat. I retired after 35 years of manufacturing covering everything from sweeping floors to ownership. I don't care how they try to rationalize it, some things are just too stupid to support any arguments. The employees work hard to make these, they really are good hats. How motivating do you think it is to know the product you proudly made will look like absolute crap when the customer receives it. But they can only do as they are told. Somewhere up the ranks someone sits and admires a shiny new quarter saved from cutting costs, pats themselves on their backs, beaming with pride...oblivious to the dollar lost from non-returning customers. Now a portion of the bottom line is a variable dependent on mail carriers and luck. Its just disheartening to see.
