I've read quite a few Iles books and they all followed a similar motif. The main hero (doctor or lawyer) at war with rich racist fat cats. In the end the good guy wins (with some suffering along the way). Rather than continuing with this successful approach, the author, in order to gain acceptance from his uber-left friends, now positions the bad guys as Trump supporters. I've been through about 100 pages and there has been at least 20 negative references to Trump, the Russian 'scandals' and and the people that support him. I GIVE UP, GREG ISLES, I CAN NO LONGER READ THIS TRASH - it's going to the library as a donation in the morning. I see your ratings on Amazon are at 3.7 after being around 4.5 on your previous books. Over 20% of the reviews are one star and virtually all reference the anti-Trump political agenda. Maybe you didn't realize that around 50% of the voters supported Trump. They will no longer be your readers.
