It seems several of us have had a similar problem. The AC port in the back of the machine breaks so it doesn't get power and is basically useless. We bought this for our girls ages 10mo, 2yrs and 4yrs to replace another defective karaoke machine that we bought them for Christmas (a different model of Singing Machine that randomly lost sound from day 1). I'm giving it 2 stars instead of one because when it works, it is super fun! The Bluetooth was so convenient and though the sound wasn't the best (I wish it was louder) it was OK for little kids to use just playing around. The lights were fun too and my girls LOVED it while it was working. We had many fun dance parties and we used it daily for a month. But then one day it wouldn't turn on. We checked the AC adapter, unplugged it and realized that the plastic casing for the port was super loose, like it has been broken internally. I have included a picture where I am pulling on the cord slightly and you can see how the port is so lose it looks almost as if it would come out. I have no idea how it broke. It was sitting in the corner of the room where it has always been. It is portable so one would assume it would be durable enough to be carried around, though we never even moved it from that spot. So without power it is a brick. My return window closed 5 days before it broke so I'm out of luck unless I can somehow take it apart and rewrite it. :(
