This product is "ok," but, but it does not perform exactly as advertised. The television advertisement says that it is dishwasher safe. According to the package instructions it is not. Additionally, while it is non-stick and the top surface wipes off easily, you have to spend a good deal of time wiping between the grates and on the non-coated bottom to get all of the food residue off. It cooks well enough for an indoor grill. I experimented with several different food items, and the smoke was generally minimal. The grill did not do great with bone-in cuts of meat, but did just fine with flatter, boneless cuts as well as vegetables. Be sure to season your food well as unlike a charcoal grill, gas grill, or even cast iron cookware this grill imparts no additional flavor. UPDATE: Reduced rating from 3 to 2 stars. Attempted to cook a large package of chicken thighs that covered the whole grill. Discovered the temperature varies greatly from the heating element which is barely adequate, out to the edge of the grill which is too cold to cook properly. Additionally, I am disappointed with the non-stick capabilities as well as the durability of the surface. It is advertised as being able to withstand metal utensils, but I managed to rub through the surface with a plastic scrubber while trying to clean it.
