I’ve used many electric blankets before. I have never used this brand. Purchased due to price, didn’t care too much about design I just wanted the warmth. Plugged it into the lowest setting, fell asleep in seconds. That great, right? Exactly what it said it would do? I fell asleep at 9pm. At 2AM my dog start barking because it started FUMING. The cables had melted. And the outlet started burning into my flooring (see attached). The blanket was overwhelmingly hot and the cord was melty and hot. But at that point I didn’t care, I yanked it from the power source disregarding how my fingers would feel later. If it hadn’t been from my dog barking from the smell of the burn, I’m afraid of our outcome. Be cautious, friends.
