It is very obvious that the Kitchen Aid's quality went down the drain. I owned this product (probably a different model) for about 15 years now which still works fine. I bought a new one about 8 months ago for our cottage. After only a few uses, the metal ring above the container fell off. I can not put it back. Now, it is a nuisance to ship it to the manufacturer to have it fixed. I hope they will improve quality.
