Short version--this mixer has a big bowl but teeny attachments. If you are looking for a large capacity mixer, do NOT under any circumstances buy this. I'm going to compare this to my old 5 quart hamilton beach that we had used for years before it finally died. We bought this as a replacement because we hated to shell out hundreds for a similar sized brand name mixer. Huge mistake. Even if we set aside the fact that I ordered this in October and it didn't come in until Nov 20th (and customer service is awful), there is SO much wrong with this machine. --It's lightweight. Not at all good for mixing large quantities or heavy batches of bread or cookies. --It's flimsy--the attachments feel like junk....and they are. --The mixing attachment can't fit through the bowl cover. And you can't connect the attachments while the bowl cover is in place. The bowl cover does slide up onto the mixer itself but it is a bit awkward, and stuff flings out the hole anyway. --The bowl is nice and big....but the attachments are TINY. Much smaller than my old 5 quart ones. I'm adding pictures so you can see for yourself. This negates the fact that the mixing bowl is big, because you can't mix anything but small amounts in it. I tried to mix a batch of bread the day after we got it. My old 5 quart mixer could do that with ease. Not this machine. The attachments are too short and dough got up all over the mixer (pic 1). It was disgusting and hard to clean because of the spring there where the attachments connect. I took a picture of the dough in the bowl (pic 2) to show just how little dough is actually in the bowl. There is no way dough should be all the way up to the top of the dough hook and onto the mixer itself. Pic 3 and 4 compare the attachments of my old 5 quart mixer to this new 7 quart one. The smaller, poorer quality items are the ones that come with this big 7 quart mixer. It makes no sense at all, and makes the machine virtually unusable. I'm definitely going to return this.
