Certain challenges remain with a few ingredients across the natural products industry supply chain, where opportunities exist to continue to improve non-GMO standing. These ingredients include vitamin C (originally derived from corn dextrose) and vitamin E (originally derived from soybean oil). Certain suppliers of these ingredients may not guarantee them as non-GMO because they may or may not be derived from non-GMO starting material.
