I would like to start off by stating that I am not one to write reviews, but I feel compelled to do so now out of concern for the safety of those who require a product such as this one. I’m a 28 year old athlete who recently underwent arthroscopic hip surgery for a torn hip labrum. I was advised to limit the flexion of my hip joint for the first few weeks post-op to allow the hip to heal and avoid any irritation from excessive mobility, so I purchased this raised seat cover as the toilet in my apartment, like most toilets, is fairly low to the floor. The height of the seat cover was perfect and kept my knees below my hip line while seated. My concern is the stability of the product. There were several instances in which I would shift my weight to one side and the seat cover would slip into the Toilet, which caused me to fall and severely compromised the stability of my surgically repaired hip. Luckily I wasn’t re-injured, but falling into the toilette several times was very concerning. If you are a senior with hip issues or someone who recently underwent a surgical procedure, I highly recommend a more stable seat cover as this one is not safe for anyone with compromised joints.
