I hate this thing so much I cried about it
This pen ruined my entire night and mood and left me in tears (tbh I cry a lot, but it still sucked) with just one use. I've never left an Amazon review in my entire life, but for this atrocity I will make an exception. 1. Everyone who says this doesn't cause sensitivity is either lying or has zero nerves in their entire mouth. My teeth were in agony after one use, even after I rinsed it off. My teeth hurt so bad it triggered a migraine and kept me up for hours. (I applied right before bed, as any normal person would.) 2. This product has so many 5 star reviews because they contact you after purchase (without your consenting to being contacted) and offer you a gift card if you leave a 5 star review. They have purchased their positive reviews. They are not truthful or deserved. It sucks that companies are allowed to do this because we can't trust customer reviews anymore. I would have been better off flushing my $20 down the toilet, but I trusted the 6k 5 star reviews like a total sucker. Never again. 2.5. The reviews that show before and after pictures are scamming you. They're taken in very different lighting. Look at the pictures as a whole. EVERYTHING looks less orange/yellow. Not just the teeth. 3. The directions are very unclear. First, it says turn the bottom clockwise, which actually breaks the pen. Turn the bottom counterclockwise if for some ungodly reason you decide to buy this torture device. Second, it says not to eat or drink for 30 minutes, but everyone in the questions is saying you're supposed to rinse after use? Some say after 10-20 minutes? Others say after 30? Someone said an hour? WHEN DO I RINSE!? I could go on but let's move to my next point. 4. This does not actually stay on your teeth even after you hold your mouth open for 30 seconds. 5. It tastes of bleach, not mint. 6. From what I can tell, it is not recommended by a single dentist or dental hygienist. It is, however, not recommended by several. Idk if this stuff actually makes your teeth whiter because I will never use it again. What I do know is that even if it did make my teeth the pearly white I so desire, it still wouldn't be worth it. Stick to the products backed by science and dental professionals. Don't put this stuff in your mouth.
