We've had this vacuum for 11 months and it has functioned very well by in large. Recently, however, the powered beater bar on the brush attachment quit working. The company, however, states that there is NO warranty on attachments - just the main unit. Our only options were according to customer service were: 1) buy a new unit at a reduced cost. 2) Pay shipping both ways (w/ minimum of $20 for them to ship back to us. 3) Buy new accessory for $20.
