The bowl we received is nowhere near the bowl that is advertised! Refer to attached photos and compare to what is advertised. First off, the bowl shipped to us directly from Nagina, India. It does not bear the "Hagestad Handicrafts" stamp as shown in the promotional images. That in and of itself would not be important to me if the bowl looked and could function as what it was intended to. The craftsmanship is of amazingly poor quality - as a woodworker and craftsperson, I would be embarrassed if anything I created was as poorly cut or finished as this item. The promotional pictures show a wooden bowl with beautiful grain patterns that is delicately finished with no imperfections. The bowl we received is very coarse in comparison. Blemishes and bumps in the stain, improperly matched wood filler in knotholes, and rough cuts in the curled slot snag the yarn (this is the most egregious part as this is a YARN BOWL!!!!) and prevent it from being drawn through!. There was also no travel pouch included. The bowl I received is clearly not finished to a quality standard that it should be. While we had purchased this as a gift for someone, we quite frankly wouldn't serve dog food in this bowl. I can only surmise that Hagestad Handicrafts has received more orders than they can deliver on causing them to contract out the manufacturing to some sweat shop in India with ZERO quality control. I have never left such a blistering critique on Amazon as I have never been this thoroughly disappointed in a product sold here. My advice is to steer clear of this product and this company.
