I don’t listen to the podcast. I’ve never heard a podcast that wasn’t on the car when my husband is driving and I’m dozing beside him. I’m not a fan, but I love to read and I love the paranormal! Folklore is a true love of mine so when he said they were making a tv version of his favorite podcast I was excited. Season 1 was fantastic! The story telling was great and I learned a lot. Really enjoyable. Season 2 is trash. For real. It’s cinema style gore with not a hint of narrative or history until 30 seconds at the end, from what I hear. Took my husband’s word for it because I stopped watching three quarters of the way through episode one when they started sawing someone’s head off. Unreal! And there are people here saying “oh great for Halloween” great if you like “scary movies.” This was supposed to be history not Saw 12. Wow what a letdown. Going back to Netflix to watch Haunting of Hill House which is fiction and doesn’t try to masquerade as something else. They had such a great opportunity here and really blew it. Mixing in rave reviews from Season 1 doesn’t fool anyone either. That made me as mad as S2E1 was terrible.
