This is the 2nd Cuisiant I've owned, same model. The first one was a gift from my children. After 9/10 years the plastic base became defective. It was my fault because I put it in the dishwasher. I ordered a new one from Amazon and only hand washed it. Learned it's not dishwasher friendly! I noticed that the first time I used it liquid leaked from the lid. I did not use it for some time. Today I pulled it out of the cabinet and what a mess. For one person it's a perfect size. Disappointed Cuisiant lowered their quality. Because I have not used it for some time it's doubtful the vendor will honor a replacement. If they do I will come back and let you know.
