#Fail - Ghost flushes if the seal is not properly set on an angled flush valve seat. Pros -cheap -aesthetics good -works if the products lasts Cons: -The blue coating on the valve adapter develops bumpy air pockets through time which leads to ghost flushing. For me it happened twice inside half a year. Workaround: Ensure sure the seal is secure with plumbers putty for a tight fit. If it happens again, clean/dry the adapter (if it is still in good condition), clean the valve seat throroughly and apply fresh putty when installing. Conclusion: Got sick of the repetitive work around. I just went with the updated Fluidmaster duo flush valve kit and replaced the valve seat with a flat Fluidmaster version. So far, so good.
