Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

I am not usually one to leave negative or lukewarm reviews, but for the price I paid for the August Pro and for what I expected it to do as advertised, it definitely leaves much more to be desired. A reliable auto-unlock for my deadbolt is all I wanted. None of the fancy Alexa stuff even though I paid for the Pro. Auto-Unlock works maybe 60-70% of the time now. It's almost like flipping a coin whether my door will auto unlock every time I walk back home at this point. I think 3 stars is generous. If a software update improves its auto-unlock reliability, I will raise the score accordingly. 10/30/2018 Update: Auto-Unlock barely works anymore. Did not alter any settings on the app. Started out working about 80-90% of the time but now it's down to maybe 30-40%. Wifi and Bluetooth on my phone are always kept on. Dropping my rating down to 2 stars and counting... 11/11/2018 Update: August Smart Lock has been jamming incessantly. Was locked out of my apartment several times - thank God for 24 hr maintenance. Couldn't any longer trust it to work reliably without taking my keys with me during walks with my dog. No contact from customer support even though I've sent two email requests and was told someone would call or email me. Returned it. This was my first time to ever return a product from Amazon, and also my first to ever rate a product with 1 star. Terrible.
