Heads up! They changed the formula just now...and have now added the "cheapest" form of plant protein (PEA PROTEIN) as the number 1 ingredient. I buy this because it did NOT have cheap old pea protein (which can be a real "gas maker" and is hard to digest). Pea protein...is a CHEAP ingredient to add as a "filler" so a company can put less of the expensive high-end plant proteins such as amaranth, adzuki, buckwheat, and rice. This WAS one of the only plant-derived protein mixes that did NOT use pea protein...and was the reason I would pay the high premium to purchase this most-expensive powder. I am certainly NOT going to pay this much for a protein mix that uses cheap pea protein as the predominant ingredient! Garden of Life will now make A LOT MORE profit by using pea protein as the base ingredient of this once elite formulation...but they're NOT getting $1.60 an OUNCE from me anymore with Pea Protein as their new base ingredient. Don't be a sucker folks, and pay for gold...when you're getting silver in return.
