These are incredibly thin, rip very easily, and do not assist with warmth retention or create an increase in temperature when used outdoors at night. They did not even make it through one night; they tore almost instantly with any movement. The only benefit was keeping dry under a few drops of very light rain. I am glad I tried these out before placing them in my emergency kit to be used as actual emergency blankets should the need arise.
