My 13 year old son's guinea pig, Bruce, became very sick 2 days following receipt of this willow ball. We rushed him to the vet and she wasn't sure what the problem was but put him on a yogurt/spinach diet because he hadn't had a bowel movement in almost 24 hours. The following day he finally had a bowel movement and it was VERY hard and in the shape of a cluster of small branches from this willow ball. The pictures show the hole he chewed in the willow ball and his bowel movement which appears to be in the same shape as the branches. He seemed to improve after finally having a few more VERY hard bowel movements in the same weird shape. Unfortunately Bruce passed away 3 days after our vet appointment...I have no doubt it was due to this willow ball as he was a healthy 5 month old guinea pig prior to this. My son is devastated...as am I after seeing him try so hard to nurture Bruce back to health. He blames himself as he bought this thinking it would be a fun chew toy for Bruce. I can't help wishing we could turn back time and had never ordered this.
