STUPID @$$ DESIGN! Don't buy it. It leaves marks in your hair. The pictures do not show you, but the rollers are cut in half to the cap so that they can slide and sit on a metal wall to heat. When you roll your hair on these barrels, the cut marks on both side of the barrels leaves marks throughout your hair as if you used a crimping iron and the clips also leave marks. I purposely blow dry my wavy/curly hair to make it straight and look to a hot roller to smooth out the frizz and give a little swirl of a curl. These give crimping marks because of the cut outs on both sides of the barrel. I'm trying to find SOLID barrels with the velvet wrap hot curlers, and I can't find any yet. They USE to make them where there was a circular cut out INSIDE the barrel and it would heat by setting the SOLID barrel on the heating rod. Unfortunately, I was excited and trusted Conair and threw the box out right way. Now, I'm stuck with this useless product. Searching for SOLID barrels now to give a nice, sleek, smooth swirl of a curl! I tried to protect you from making the same mistake I did. Another purchaser left pictures in her review of the actual barrel with the cut outs on both sides. I'll update with a picture when I can.
