Safety 1st should fix the ability to force the lever into the lock position without needing to pinch.
So I'm torn here on what rating I should give this but I experienced something earlier that I can't seem to calm down about and I have to share it with you. These locks have been great for preventing our son from getting into the pantry. However, when they are in the "unlocked" position meaning the lever is flat and flush against the door NOT preventing them from opening the door, children (my son is only 18 months old) can force it to lock without needing to pinch and move it. This has never been an issue until today. I walked in to our pantry and my son proceeded to close the door behind me (which he does frequently) but this time he forced the lever up to the lock position and I was locked in the pantry. He now had full range of the whole house while I panicked and tried to figure out how to get out. I ended up having to kick the door in after breaking the door knob sooooo, if you have an adventurous toddler who likes to be sneaky and figures things out. These locks might not be the best thing. I would suggest replacing the door knobs with traditional door knobs and skipping a "lock" capability to prevent the same thing from happening to you!
