Ugh....terrible book! So annoyed I wasted my time reading. At least I didn't have to pay for it. I forget until after I finished reading that the author is an attorney, which makes it that much worse. I realize it’s fiction, but jeez make it a little believable. There is just no way any prosecutorial office would allow a case be handled by the defendant’s girlfriend, family member, friend, etc. Just ridiculous and unbelievable. The main character’s relationship with her daughter was weird and unrealistic. This is petty, but what kind of name is Eddie Cal?! It feels like it’s only part of a name.
