I bought this and while the game itself is a blast, here's the realization I made after reading an online PSA that did the research I should have done myself: $[...] The Beatles Rock Band Special Value Edition (Beatles Rock Band Game, original Rock Band instruments) Or: $[...] Rock Band 2 (Rock Band 2 game, newer instruments with improved design over original Rock Band instruments) $[...] The Beatles Rock Band (software only) (Amazon.com prices used.) Unfortunately, overexcited at the prospect of buying the game for $[...] less than I thought I would have to, the $[...] set with special Beatles instruments being the only available edition previously, I purchased this edition. So, don't make the same mistake that I did. Definitely get this wonderful game if you're considering it, as just about any review can tell you. But buy the Rock Band 2 set and the software alone, and you'll have better instruments and an extra game for the exact same price. What a fool I was!
