It works, but is exceedingly expensive compared to aftermarket inks. Why don't I buy aftermarket inks you ask? That's because I updated the Epson XP-640 firmware January 2018. The purpose of the firmware is for the printer to not recognize aftermarket ink cartridges. I'm looking to purchase another brand of printer. I registered my dissatisfaction with Epson both in writing and verbally to its customer service department.
