Teaches white children to be ashamed of their heritage.
The only thing I liked about this book was the font. I should have known by the BURNING CROSS which is on the cover, that it would be a waste of good money but more importantly my time. This book addresses an important issue and completely misses the mark! One page depicted white people and money as the devil. The author slams police. School Library Journal awarded it among best books of 2018. I wonder if the librarians were thinking that the children of police officers would be reading the book. Save your money. You can view it being read on youtube.
