Unfortunately, this oven has a seriously flawed design. Buyer beware. Someone else has reviewed about the same problem but I will state it again: I've had this oven since August, kept good care of it, cleaning it often. However, there is a metal tray or "trough" below the heating element, which is not removable and therefore impossible to clean. This tray accumulates crumbs, grease, fat, etc., and the unit is now smoking each time I use it. It's become a fire hazard and unusable. It's such a silly flawed design, I'm surprised the company has not realized it. See photo for example of dirty tray, and clean tray.
