I purchased the first one and the very first time I used it it froze. Was very confused, but assumed it must be just a bad apple since there are so many great reviews. I really like the idea of a corded impact wrench so I order another. This time it last two times...changing my tires in the spring and fall and it got stuck again. I was so mad I just threw it in a drawer and promised myself never to buy another porter cable tool. Spring is back and I manually took of my tires and decided to pull these item out. Went to YouTube and found a video of what the issue was. They used a plastic fan that is inside a plastic back that spins and get really hot within minutes and welds itself together. They should have used either metal or heat resistance plastic. It is a manufacturer defect and I watched it locked up twice. The YouTube person put silicone grease but that just get splatter out and it will lock up again. If your impact wrench locked up please indicate here so the manufacturer can fix this. Maybe someone will do a lawsuit or something.
