There's a design flaw with this filter that uses up all the vitamin C when you're not taking a shower. I have the filter set up exactly as you see in the example photos as it is described to be used. The filter doesn't properly drain out the water left in the filter after the shower turns off. Thus, the remaining water in the filter dilutes the vitamin c in the cartridge while it sits and flushes out when you turn on the shower, wasting an expensive cartridge. I've been using this for 2 weeks, a shower once a day, and the filter is completely empty. So you'll only be able to get 14 shower uses out of a single filter before you have to refill. That's expensive and wasteful. I would not recommend this product.
