Skip this, get the Revlon One Step Volumizer Hair Dryer
Disappointed this Bed Head version didn’t work out.
To start this off - I borrowed my mother’s Revlon One Step to see if I would like it and I ending up LOVING it! It made my hair silky, shiny, added tons of volume and cut down on the “fly away’s.”
I went to purchase the Revlon One Step for myself when I stumbled upon this Bed Head One Step. I thought what the heck - they look the same, and I liked the color better of Bed Heads (typical girl I know 😆).
SILLY. ME.
Yes, the color is pretty but the quality and functionality FAILS!
Yes, Bed Heads One step is lighter than the Revlon One Step... but Revlon’s blows this version (pun intended) out of the water. This one feels cheap, like you could break it while holding it or running it through your hair.
The “low” setting is quiet - but that’s because there’s hardly ANY heat or air coming out. I always dry my hair on low to reduce fly away’s and heat damage, but it wasn’t getting the job done. Switched this bad boy to “high”... WHOA, que the baby hairs sticking up in every direction. Had to switch it back to low and it took FOREVER. Mind you, the Revlon One Step dried my hair in 10-15 minutes... Bed Head? 25 minutes.
The end result was not satisfactory. My hair was flat, yet every single baby hair/fly away is sticking straight up on my head. Frizzy flat hair.
My hair also kept getting CAUGHT at the top of this dryer (hand grip) where the plastic part meets the plate/bristles... see the 3rd photo.
And finally, the bristles were falling out everywhere.
Needless to say this Bed Head One Step is cleaned and boxed back up to be returned & I’ve gone ahead and purchased the Revlon One Step as I should have done to begin with!!
