I ordered this bed a few weeks ago for my mother who is having to stay with us due to a having a stroke. We made up an entire room for her and this bed looked like it would go with the quilt set I got her perfectly. Her room is done in an antique,shabby chic kind of look and we couldn't afford a whole lot, so we finally picked this one. The bed arrived after about a week and my husband and I took all the parts out of the box to put it together. However it was missing a leg. Yes it was missing an entire leg! So we called amazon customer service. They said we needed to send the entire bed back. They could not send just a leg. So we packed it all back up and sent it back. Another week later,the second bed shows up. We take it out of the box and this time ALL the screws,bolts,etc were missing. So we put in another call to customer service. They wanted us to send the entire bed back again. We told them we were not going to send the bed back when we could probably just go to the hardware store and most likely get the right screws. Of course by this time the hardware store was closed. When we finally got the screws the next day and put it together we noticed that it was also missing 3 of the slats. What kind of quality control does this company have? We tried to call the company who makes them but they are closed on the weekends. I am very disappointed with them. I could have had my husband literally build a nice wooden bed in the amount of time we have wasted on this thing. I know it is cheap ( and now it is priced even cheaper than what we paid for it), but I could have spent the same amount on wood and had a bed made for my mom sooner with probably way less complications. Don't get me wrong, I still love amazon and their customer service has always been great, but I do not care for the company that makes this bed so far. I plan on calling the bed company on monday to see what they have to say about all this. Then depending on how they handle this is how I will proceed. Hopefully they will fix their errors or I will let everyone we know what a bad experience this has been with this bed and the company who makes it. I will try to update after we contact them.
