Junk!
I just took a hammer to it and went Office Space. I had this less than two years. Worked pretty good at first. It is fast, the software worked well, about the only issue I had was the tray which others have said…would sometimes cause papers to fly off and on to the floor. All went downhill with a new PC and Windows 10. Using USB 3.0, no device errors anywhere. Sometimes when I would hit the scan button I would get nothing…no response at all, like it was not even there. I would re-boot and it may start working. I would unplug the USB cord and it may start working. I would unplug the power cord and it may start working. This was followed by a pause while scanning…not a temporary pause, but a total crash of the ScanSnap Manager…frozen solid, ctl-alt-del, start over, and over, and over and after five or six times…I may get a document to scan. Yes, I did a software update and tried a different USB port. No more, problem solved…going back to HP.
