Guessing this drive's reviews are from fake accounts because this drive is a cheap piece of garbage. I think I was able to rip 10 cds before it started clicking and have the front LED indicator light flashing off and on. I understand fully you get what you pay for, but this is a portable dvd drive, the tech has been around for awhile now. I usually plan on this China-made junk lasting at least a year, pretty sad when I can't even get more than 10 cds out of devices these days. I waited well past the time to get a refund, so that is too bad, but I wanted to warn others not to believe all the positive reviews. As I am typing this the drive cannot read the disc I have in it. I wanted an external drive to do the heavy lifting of ripping my cd collection onto my computer to keep my computer's drives from so much wear. Going with this garbage drive I would only need to buy about $2000 worth of these devices to complete my ripping project. Suddenly, the cheap electronics from China aren't so cheap. Looks like one of my internal drives gets to rip my Kamelot Silverthorn album tonight. Save your money avoid this junk. UPDATE: I decided to take this drive apart to see what it had under the plastic shell. As you can see from the photos it is a repurposed Lenovo drive manufactured in 2013. Before you buy one of these "cheap" drives know what you are likely getting. If it works great, consider yourself lucky.
