I wanted to love this jacket. I've always loved Hanes, and I love this color. I read the reviews, so I knew to order up in size, and I knew this was a very light jacket, which is what I wanted (I'm an Arizona girl). I ordered 1 size up. It fit great when it came straight out of the box, but it shrank 3 sizes when I washed it. So it went right back in the box to returns. This is definitely a very light weight jacket, so if you are looking for a heavier weight, go with something else. I ended up buying this exact jacket from somewhere else in a much larger size. It felt like I was wearing a tent when I took it out of the box, but going on previous experience, I washed it and now it fits great. So be aware of that when ordering. I would go AT LEAST 2 sizes up (I went 3 sizes up because I like a loose fit). Even after shrinkage, the sleeves are plenty long, and not too tight, but perhaps still a bit big under the arms. It's a tough call to make, because anytime you buy BIG with the intent of shrink-to-fit, there will always be sizing issues because of how the fabric was cut. Not everything will be perfect. Which has ALWAYS been my question when buying clothes (for both men and women)... Why, oh why, don't manufacturers preshrink the fabric before making? I would be willing to pay a little more for items if I knew the fabric was preshrunk. Anyhoo, this jacket is awesome... Please heed the reviews and buy large (really large), and remember that this is a super light weight jacket. Otherwise, this is a great jacket, beautiful color.
