Bought some Samsung Motion sensor earlier in the year, these were 2015 models. Worked great, very good results. The motion sensor was able to detect up to 25 feet away and report motion. Just bought 5 more, notice these sensors can't reliable sense motion 10 feet away. Look at the package and notice these were 2016 models. Took a closer look at the 2016 sensor and it looked more crystal like unlike the solid white sensor on the 2015 model. one other difference is the 2016 model took CR2477 batteries and the 2015 took CR2450, just for a quick reference if you are trying to tell which model you have. For most rooms this new design of the 2016 is not usable. If you want to use it to turn on Lights, it won't be able to turn on the lights until you get right on top of it. If you use the smart routine to turn of the lights when there is no motion, the lights will go off even if you are in the room but you are more then 10 feet away, will have to walk up to the sensor to turn it back on. If you want to use it for security, not even a consideration, they can break into your house and move about and it won't even trigger the motion sensor if they just stay 10 feet away. That is very frustrating. Samsung, if you are going to redesign a product, make it better, not worse! Just wasted over $163 on these 5 sensors.
